Run your own Omarchy meetup
Meetups are community-run. They can be about Omarchy, Linux, open source, programming, customization, or nearby hacker culture.
- Make it open to everyone. Capacity limits are practical; invitation-only events presented as official Omarchy gatherings are not.
- Speak for yourself. An Omarchy meetup is a community event, not an endorsement by Omarchy or the Omacom Foundation.
- Anyone can organize in any city. Nobody owns a place.
- Prefer free events. Charging for a venue, food, or actual event costs is fine; using the name as an events business is not.
- Local sponsors may provide space, food, or drinks when disclosed. Keep the gathering from becoming a sales pitch.
- Treat people like civilized adults. Organizers decide who must leave their event.
- Use the name and logo responsibly. “Omarchy Copenhagen” is fine; do not imply that you are Omarchy, the Foundation, or an authorized representative.
- Submit the event to Luma so it can appear on the shared calendar.
