Exploratory
Mobile
An exploratory look at how a companion and a fuller mobile environment might relate to Omarchy.
A phone should extend your environment, not compete with it.
Omarchy is exploring the boundary between a companion for a current system and a fuller mobile environment. That boundary matters. A smaller screen changes attention, input, privacy, and the moments when a computer can be useful.
The question is not how to shrink a current system into a phone. It is what continuity is worth carrying between them.
Which pieces of a working day should travel with you?
- When should a desktop notification reach a companion device, and when should it stay put?
- What would make shared clipboard and file handoff feel deliberate rather than magical?
- Which remote commands deserve a small-screen interface, and which belong at the terminal?
Continuity depends on trust.
Authentication and device synchronization are not background details. They decide who can act, what crosses between devices, and what remains local. Those are the questions worth answering before deciding the shape of any mobile work.
For the current system, begin with the ISO (external) and the Manual.
